Denn das Handling von Instants verheizt die Stimmung des Games trotz aller Cozy-Ambitionen – wenn man schon nach dem dritten Album mehr gegen die Steuerung kämpft anstatt den Rätsel-Aspekt, spricht Bände. Ja, der Touchscreen-Modus schafft Abhilfe, und natürlich, die Katze hilft je nachdem, wie ihr es wünscht, mehr oder weniger subtil und das funktioniert recht gut. Die Grundidee des Titels ist in Ordnung, aber das haben auch schon andere Cozy-Games schon gemacht und die indirekte Erzählung wie in Unpacking kann wesentlich prägnanter und treffsicherer landen. Aber lassen wir die Kirche im Dorf: Für knapp 10 Euro (hier geht’s zur Steam-Website) darf man auch nicht die Welt verlangen. Wenn die ersten Updates die Bugs beseitigen, dürft ihr zugreifen!

If you’re looking for a cosy puzzle game with no stress, awesome visuals and one that can pull you into the story without a spoken word, you should go for Instants. It works well on the Switch 2, but I do feel the button controls were designed with Steam in mind.
