The Franciscan monk Noni wants to join the Vitigudine order. To judge its value, the order asks you to pass a virtue test: the monk must get weapons and use them to perform an exorcism on all the demons of the people.

Temptations is a platform game divided into several levels, each with its series of screens. The player controls the monk's movements with the joystick or direction arrows and with the space bar or the firing button launches projectiles with the weapon he is carrying at that moment. The friar dies if he touches the demons or some of the objects on the screen. Its movement has inertia: after landing on a platform, it often continues to move forward. Shooting at some points on the screen reveals hidden objects and certain screens require specific power to continue.
