Stories of Bethem è la dimostrazione di come il comparto grafico spesso può essere accantonato lasciando il posto ad un gameplay divertente e mai monotono o ripetitivo. Un ARPG in grado di rendere felici coloro che sono cresciuti con i giochi pixellati, dove la libertà di esplorazione la fa da padrone per una longevità in grado di tenere il giocatore incollato allo schermo per intere giornate.

El titulo hereda toda la genialidad de los RPG de la era dorada y lo plasma de forma magistral, puede ser frustrante en algunas ocasiones, pero para todos aquellos fans que disfrutaron de títulos como el ya mencionado “The Legend of Zelda” es una compra que no decepcionara. La falta de ataques cuerpo a cuerpo puede hacerse algo rara, pero terminas acostumbrándote y es además uno de los hechos diferenciales de “Stories of Bethem: Full Moon”.

Stories of Bethem: Full Moon es un action-RPG que homenajea a viejas glorias, pero que tiene su propio enfoque, alma y personalidad. Gugames Development ha sabido plasmar con mimo y amor la esencia de uno de los géneros más alabados de la historia de los videojuegos en una aventura entrañable y que sin duda nos ha hecho disfrutar como enanos durante muchas horas. Si te gusta el género, quieres una experiencia, y en definitiva un juego, que te absorba desde luego que no te decepcionará.

Como conclusión, y por si no había quedado claro hasta ahora, si sois veteranos del mundillo y de pequeños gozasteis de la era dorada del RPG en 2D, Stories of Bethem: Full Moon es una compra obligada. No os va a defraudar en ningún sentido, y es justo lo que un buen Action RPG de los 90 debía ser, solo que ha aparecido en 2016. Merece la pena jugarlo por su sentido del humor, por sus originales rompecabezas, por sus similitudes a la saga The Legend of Zelda, pero a la vez por sus diferencias que lo alejan de ser una mera copia y le dan un toque personal propio, por todo ello.

Stories of Bethem: Full Moon packs a lot into a small, retro-inspired package. For fans of Zelda and other games of its type, it’s a must play. It may not be the most inspired or groundbreaking RPG ever created, but it manages to pack in tight gameplay, head-scratching puzzles and engaging locations to explore. The lack of melee combat will probably be missed by most, as magic can be awkward, but it at least sets Stories of Bethem apart, love it or hate it. It’s not perfect, it may be frustrating at times, but Stories of Bethem manages to capture the essence of games of the 90s: when having fun was the only thing that mattered.

Stories of Bethem: Full Moon is a good game with a few shortcomings. Gamers won’t regret buying it but in a few years you don’t really remember what it was about. I’m curious to see if the developer will continue with the franchise because it has potential to become something better.

Art and music wise, Stories of Bethem: Full Moon is a mixed bag. The graphics for Full Moon are much better than its predecessor with more vibrant colors, most characters having unique sprites and the monsters following suit with unique color pallets for each variations though you see a lot of colors get reused as the monsters get harder as sort of a sign or warning of what variation you are fighting. Musically though is where the 8 bit chiptunes begin to feel old though, most zones you go through, you will pass more than a few times and if your farming gems for that one item or a potion from central city, you will grow tired of it quickly. The boss music though is refreshing, changing with tones and notes depending on where you are and what you’re fighting. The lack of Voice acting felt like a let down though for a revamped edition of a game, especially with the amount of text you have to go through for some sections.

Stories of Bethem : Full Moon est un jeu clairement intéressant. Les amoureux de jeu d’explorations / aventure s’y retrouveront et prendront plaisir à parcourir le monde et remplir les quêtes principales et secondaires. Cependant, les très nombreux allers-retours pourront en décourager beaucoup et c’est dommage. Ajoutons à cela la jouabilité certes innovante mais restreinte, une inspiration trop forte des Zelda, et vous comprendrez que Stories of Bethem n’est pas si original que ça.

Le monde n’est pas immense, les donjons sont répétitifs, la difficulté augmente d’un seul coup mais on ne vous propose pas réellement de Challenge. Heureusement, les quêtes secondaires et la durée de vie relève un peu le niveau, vous proposant une aventure d’une douzaine d’heures, sans compter les quêtes annexes, pour seulement 7.99€.

Stories of Bethem: Full Moon is a retro game, with retro ideas which doesn’t do anything remarkable and feels a little out of place on today’s latest console, despite it being a decent experience overall. Also, the price is reasonable enough for anyone looking for a blast from the past!
