Anima: Gate of Memories is decent, and I did enjoy my time with it overall. But the repetitive combat and clunky mechanics hold it back from being truly fun. I do think though that most people who decide to pick it up will enjoy it especially for the current price. The story is interesting, the world is varied, the graphics overhaul is well done, but with the remaster you aren’t getting much new content just a collection with a face lift.

Horror Tales: The Beggar lets you control your environment to fight off a dangerous pursuer. The actions are innovative and the horror from the enemy is real. The environments are well-designed and feel post-apocalyptic. But the story isn’t the best and the horror isn’t as engaging as it could be.

While graphical inconsistencies hold it back from being a truly polished experience, the emotional depth and improved gameplay make it a worthy return to Tama and Koko’s tragic yet beautiful tale.

Figuring out how all the mechanics work together is difficult and the story is predictable. The puzzles are challenging and you are constantly on your toes because the enemy is lurking. Unfortunately, the complexity makes gameplay frustrating and the game isn’t long. For a short horror room experience, this game delivers a satisfying experience.

The 21 multiverses and eight different paths offer variety, but they lack the depth and coherence needed to create a truly immersive and engaging gaming experience. Nonetheless, the exploration of the Lüscher test within a video game format is a commendable and unique endeavor, and for those interested in introspective gaming experiences, FINIS may still be worth a try.

Nevertheless, the game’s title may set unrealistic expectations for a grand narrative, as it ultimately feels more like a collection of mini-games rather than a cohesive “Big Game.” A more robust and interconnected storyline would have elevated the gaming experience, making it a more deserving title for the “Big Game” moniker.

Despite its enticing premise and captivating story, and marred by a few significant flaws, such as it’s high price tag, the absence of a hint/clue system, and occasionally poorly connected clues and often overly frustrating experience ,it may satisfy die-hard escape room enthusiasts looking for a cerebral challenge.

Not only is it weird to release a Summer Sports Game in the middle of Winter, but trying to compete with Wii/Switch Sports is a big task, and let’s be honest, while alright, Smoots Summer Games isn’t it, if you really don’t want to spend the money for the first party title, try Deca Sports Instead as you’ll get a much better experience.

When you first look at Morkull Ragast’s Rage, it looks like an exciting Metroidvania. Once you step into the game, you can see its flaws in the combat system, variety of enemies, skill system, and lack of narrative. The game had potential, but it loses you at a point. I found myself being more frustrated at the combat system than anything.
